Magic! (verb, transitive)
Jan. 23rd, 2006 06:41 pmAs in, "I magicked the copier into stapling my copies!" Or, "The followspot sometimes won't work until I come along and magic it."
In the first case, it means more like "wow, I'm amazed that the copier actually did what I thought it was going to do...and that that was also what I wanted it to do."
In the second case, it's a little more along the lines of "I just tried the exact same thing that three other people have been doing for the past 15 minutes, and it worked for me on the first try."
I'm good at magicking the followspot. I'm not usually good at magicking the copier, so I think it's time to call today a success and go home and make quesadillas.
