things are happening faster now
Apr. 3rd, 2007 05:54 pmSo, last weekend we accomplished the following:
Found a new apartment (significantly larger than the old one). We're planning to move in May, 2 months before the wedding.
Looked at tungsten carbide wedding rings.
Discovered just how ridiculous and inconsistent the jewelers' markup is.
Met with the person at the wedding-reception site, and planned a menu.
Were pleased to note that she is neither ridiculous nor inconsistent.
Supervised my freshmen at a lighting call.
Discovered that they, while maybe not inconsistent, are fairly ridiculous sometimes.
(No, you cannot leave this call, which is a required part of your class, 2.5 hours early to go do something else which is in no way a part of any class. Well, okay. You can leave, but I'll mark you absent. It's not like I'm going to chain you to the catwalk.)
And also? Can I just say that I never had any idea just how many things you could have personalized until we got one of those "wedding favor" catalogs?
And also still? I have no idea how we've survived this long without "European Pillow Shams" for our bed. (as suggested by the registry checklist).
