Update, the short version

1)  Classes are over!  I got A's in both subjects, as it turns out, so this is a happy thing.  (Apparently I'm missing fetal pigs and designing an experiment on plants in Bio 2, but alas--the rest of the summer was already booked for me...)

2)  We camped!  It poured torrentially the first night but our tent kept us dry.  Thank goodness for B+G's screen house, under which we were able to cook dinner and play cards in the mostly-dry.  A screen house is now on our wish-list.  It was only for a weekend down at Watkins Glen--one of the big gorges near Seneca Lake--but it was fun apart from the rain.

3)  The electrical attic-disaster is most of the way solved.  I had to shelve the project during classes, but with a lot of help from PoC today I think I have everything working again.  Tomorrow I can put up the actual fixtures (not porcelain sockets) and then soon I'll be back to painting.  The attic was probably less than 100° today because of the clouds.

4)  I did have _lots_ of help from PoC, which was awesome.  However, in closing, I will share with you:

Me:  (trying to think out how the 3-way switch is supposed to be hooked up) "Okay, how would I do this if I weren't an idiot?"

PoC:  "Topless."
