now THAT'S love for you!
Aug. 4th, 2010 07:50 pmToday we're celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary/10th anniversary together. (Yes, they fall on the same day!)
By "celebrating," I mean that PoC spent the day working and trying not to melt in the heat, and I spent the day getting the car to the shop, mowing the lawn, making cookies (and possibly ice cream...we'll see how that turned out), putting some things in the attic, and trying not to melt in the heat.
We're trying to save a lot more money these days, so we've opted out of going out to dinner (as we have done the last couple of years), so we're just having a quiet evening at home. We took our anniversary picture in the backyard with the gardens--(currently fullllll of green tomatoes that are hopefully on their way to becoming delicious and red...except for the green ones that we might decide to fry). Then, PoC decided that it was time for me to try to cut his hair.
I've never cut men's hair before (except for his when it was in a ponytail and was basically "a straight line, just higher up") but he got rid of the ponytail a couple of years ago and has been going to Supercuts. But, the warehouse club near us had a special on hair clippers, so he decided we should try it. It was ...instructive... and we've learned some things we probably won't do next time (the weird ear-taper guides are wicked short!). But it looks okay, and he still has both ears. And I'm a little honored that he trusted me to attempt it! (Our back-up plans were "go to Supercuts and ask them to fix it" or "buzz it all the same length and then wear a hat.")
