The word 'shyster' has crossed my path twice today!  I referred to a character in a play as a shyster (while talking with a student this morning), and I just got a letter from my aunt (regarding some old documents I had found and sent to her--she's the family genealogist) in which she said "No one has ever told me as much, but I get the feeling that Sam C________ was a bit of a shyster."

I'm not sure why this is quite so pleasing, but it is.
