So, PoC was doing some work in the basement today and removed some old fiberglass insulation.  Tucked/hidden under it, he found....

a spoon, blackened on the bottom and bearing remains of a white substance.

The house is 70 years old, so I'm sure it's seen its share of unfortunate things, but it seems creepy (and a bit pathetic) to think of some former resident getting high and then hiding the spoon away in the insulation...

My friends/co-workers just bought a house about a year and a half ago that the previous tenant used to deal pot out of. They even found a digital scale in one of the walls. They actually had issues for awhile with people still making deals in cars out front of the house because it was a known location to the locals.

Yeah... I know this could be worse, certainly. Some friends of our family had a rental house where they discovered that a dealer had cut a hole in an exterior wall to make a money drop...and parked motorcycles in the living room.

Parking a motorcycle in the living room just seems like a lot of work, especially if there are stairs leading up to the door.

My dad's house used to be owned by a doctor before there was fully regulated trash removal. Whenever they were working in the yard, they'd find little empty glass vials buried everywhere. They've got a whole line up of them in the kitchen.

I love strange house stories, can you tell?
